Northeast Laboratory Services would like to thank Lauraly LeBrasseur for her 22 years of dedication, hard work and resourcefulness and congratulate her on a well deserved retirement. Lauraly’s last day is December 16, 2011. Please take a moment to wish her good luck in her next chapter of life.
In the interim, Cynthia Kennard, Kathy Plaisted and Joni Amalfitano will be fielding QC/QA inquires for the Media Department.
So hard to believe 22 years have passed since I first started at Northeast Laboratory Services. Up until then I never really gave a thought to what went into making that tube of broth or plate of agar that I used every day in the clinical microbiology lab. What an enlightening journey it has been!
I owe thanks for my success to so many people – most important of all, my friend and mentor, GMP Consultant Fran White of MDC Associates. Having started as a Medical Technologist herself, she could relate to my background and understood my lack of knowledge of the culture media manufacturing process. From the very start she instilled in me the “KISS” principle – Keep It Short & Simple – which has served me well, both as a QA Manager and in my personal life.
To all the many colleagues and clients – the ones I have actually met and the “virtual” ones known only through phone conversations – I have enjoyed sharing ideas and meeting your requests. I count it a privilege to have been of assistance to you.
Finally, to my co-workers and friends at NEL, thank you for your guidance and support. We have worked together to bring our production division to the level that allows us to manufacture and ship quality products which are used in the USA, Canada, Bermuda, Puerto Rico, France, Japan and China. Quite an accomplishment for a small Maine company!
Although I do not know what my retirement years will have in store for me, I do know I will always have great memories of the years I spent here at NEL.
Thank you to each and every one of you. ~ Lauraly LeBrasseur
